JOANA NIN

Director and producer

Filmmaker dedicated to social issues. Currently premiering a documentary in theaters called Childbirth Banned in Paradise, the conclusion to her Motherhood Trilogy, following the TV films My Baby Reborn and Ultra Baby, aired on GNT channel. Produced and directed the documentary Captive Hearts, released in theaters in 2015 and awarded with an honorable mention from Festival do Rio 2013; Visita Íntima, documentary short awarded as best Brazilian documentary film in the 2006 It’s All True festival and winner of another 20 awards; the TV film A Gondola for New Venice, aired on Canal
Brasil; among others. She is also directing and producing the full length documentary A Vila dos Três Apitos and the TV doc Os 80 Gigantes, currently in production. Currently developing three fiction feature films: Tropicana, written in collaboration with Claudia Lage; Rumor, written by Alana Rodrigues, and Torniquete, written and to be directed by Ana Catarina Lugarini.

 

As executive producer, she has done Auto de Resistência, directed by Lula Carvalho e Natasha Neri, winner of It’s All True Festival 2018; Lucia Murat’s Praça Paris; the 3rd season of the TV series Se os homens são de marte é para lá que eu vou in collaboration with Zola Filmes and Mônica Martelli, among other projects. The first movie she ever worked as a member of a production team was Mulheres do Brasil, directed by Malu Martino.

 

Joana Nin is a journalist, a master student of social communication and has been teaching executive production for movies and TV for over ten years.

Producer and post-production supervisor

Producer and post production professional in business for over 20 years, is the one responsible for all of Sambaqui Cultural’s productions. He also freelances as a post-production supervisor. His recent works are Pai em Dobro, fiction feature film starring Maisa and directed by Cris D’Amato – premiering on the second half of 2020 -, and the feature film Não Vamos Pagar Nada, directed by João Fonseca – in post production. Both produced by the company A Fábrica. In 2019, he worked in Minha Mãe é uma Peça 3, starring Paulo Gustavo and Mônica Martelli, directed by Susana Garcia and produced by Migdal Filmes. In 2018 he worked in Minha Vida em Marte by the same director featuring these same actors, this time produced by A Fábrica.

 

In the same year, he worked in Ana e Vitória, directed by Matheus Souza. On documentary field, he recently worked in Mangueira em Dois Tempos, by Ana Maria Magalhães, premiered in Festival do Rio 2019, and the documentary series Sopro, by Beth Formaggini, and Amores Cubanos, by Alice de Andrade.

 

Ade was a post production supervisor for Giros Produtora, Conspiração Filmes, Estúdios Mega and Casablanca/Teleimage. Worked on the post production of dozens of films, such as Menino 23, by Belisário Franca; Pastor Claudio, by Beth Fromaggini; As Aventuras de Agamenon – o repórter, by Victor Lopes, and many others which he supervised for the most important post production companies of São Paulo in the celluloid times.
